Job Title: Phlebotomist Floater III (1st Shift)
Location: Jackson, NJ 08527
Job Type: Contract (2+ Months)
Schedule: Monday – Friday, 6:30 AM – 3:00 PM, with rotating Saturdays
Job Summary:
  • We are seeking an experienced Phlebotomist Floater III to provide high-quality patient care and specimen collection services across multiple locations. This role requires strong phlebotomy expertise, excellent customer service skills, and the flexibility to support various patient service centers, physician offices, long-term care facilities, and mobile collection sites as needed.
  • The ideal candidate will be comfortable working in fast-paced environments, handling complex specimen collections, mentoring new staff, and serving as a resource for onsite teams while ensuring compliance with company procedures and quality standards.
 
Key Responsibilities:
  • Perform venipuncture, capillary, pediatric, geriatric, and adult blood collections accurately and safely.
  • Prepare, label, process, and transport specimens following established laboratory procedures.
  • Float between multiple patient service centers and collection sites based on business needs.
  • Verify patient identity and explain collection procedures to ensure a positive patient experience.
  • Maintain accurate documentation and data entry within laboratory systems.
  • Ensure specimen integrity while following safety, quality, and confidentiality standards.
  • Support daily operations and maintain workflow efficiency in high-volume environments.
  • Train, mentor, and assist in onboarding new employees.
  • Serve as a point of contact for onsite staff and provide guidance when needed.
  • Collaborate with internal departments, including laboratory operations, billing, logistics, IT, and client services.
  • Maintain a clean, organized, and compliant work environment.
 
Required Qualifications:
  • High school diploma or equivalent.
  • Minimum 5 years of phlebotomy experience, including Pediatric, geriatric, and capillary collections.
  • Strong venipuncture and specimen handling skills.
  • Experience with data entry and basic computer applications.
  • Excellent communication and customer service skills.
  • Ability to travel between multiple work locations.
  • Ability to work independently and manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.
