Shift: Monday to Friday, 08:00 AM - 05:00 PM
Weekend Rotation: Rotational Saturdays, 08:00 AM - 12:00 PM

Job Summary

We are seeking a dedicated and patient-focused Phlebotomist I to join our healthcare team in Kenton, OH. As a Patient Services Representative I (PSR I), you will be the face of the organization, interacting directly with patients and ensuring a positive and professional experience. The ideal candidate will be responsible for collecting high-quality blood specimens, preparing samples for laboratory testing, and maintaining accurate patient records while adhering to all established policies, procedures, and safety standards.

Key Responsibilities

• Collect blood specimens from patients using proper phlebotomy techniques.
• Prepare and process specimens for laboratory testing according to established procedures.
• Verify patient information and maintain accurate documentation and records.
• Perform clinical and forensic specimen collection and processing duties.
• Ensure all specimens are collected, handled, and transported in compliance with regulatory and quality standards.
• Provide clear explanations of procedures to patients while creating an atmosphere of trust and confidence.
• Maintain patient confidentiality and safeguard sensitive information.
• Perform daily activities accurately, efficiently, and within established turnaround times.
• Maintain a safe, clean, and professional work environment.
• Demonstrate excellent customer service and represent the organization positively to patients, clients, and the public.
• Work collaboratively with supervisors and team members to support operational goals.
• Adhere to company policies, procedures, and leadership behaviors.

Required Qualifications

• High School Diploma or equivalent required.
• Minimum of 6 months of phlebotomy experience required.
• Strong specimen collection and processing skills.
• Ability to work independently with minimal supervision.
• Excellent attention to detail and commitment to accuracy.
• Strong customer service and communication skills.
• Keyboard and data entry proficiency required.

Preferred Qualifications

• 1+ year of phlebotomy experience preferred.
• Experience collecting specimens from pediatric and geriatric patients.
• Medical Assistant, EMT, or Paramedic training preferred.
• Phlebotomy certification preferred (required in California, Nevada, and Washington).
• Previous customer service experience in a healthcare, retail, or service environment preferred.
