Job Title: Phlebotomist I
Job Location: Staten Island, NY
Job Duration: 2+ months (possible extension)
ShiftMonday to Friday 7:00 AM-3:30 PM, Alternate Saturday 7:00 am - 1:00 pm

Pay rate: $21/hr on W2.
 
Job Description:
  • The Patient Services Representative I (PSR I) serves as the face of the company for patients seeking healthcare services, either for routine care or critical health decisions.
  • The PSR I is responsible for drawing high-quality blood samples and preparing specimens for lab testing, following established practices and procedures.
  • This position involves direct patient interaction, where the PSR I ensure a trusting and confident environment by clearly explaining procedures and performing blood draws in a safe, accurate, and skillful manner.
  • The PSR I is expected to demonstrate leadership behaviors, focusing on process excellence, confidentiality, and precision in patient information.
 
Key Responsibilities:
  • Perform daily activities accurately and on time under the direction of the area supervisor.
  • Maintain a safe, professional, and welcoming environment.
  • Confidently handle both forensic and clinical specimen collection and processing, adhering to established protocols.
  • Maintain accurate records and documentation.
  • Promote a positive image of the company and provide excellent service to patients, clients, employees, and the general public.
 
Job Requirements:
  • Ability to deliver quality, error-free work in a fast-paced environment.
  • Capability to work independently with minimal supervision.
  • Strong phlebotomy skills, including experience with pediatric and geriatric patients.
  • Flexible and available for various shifts based on staffing needs, including weekends, holidays, on-call, and overtime.
 
Required Education:
  • High school diploma or equivalent is required.
  • Medical assistant or paramedic training is preferred.
  • Phlebotomy certification is preferred (Required in California, Nevada, and Washington).
 
Work Experience:
  • A minimum of 6 months of experience is required.
  • One year or more of phlebotomy experience is preferred.
  • Experience in customer service within a retail or service environment is preferred.
  • Keyboard/data entry experience is essential.
