Title: Phlebotomist I - 1st Shift Location: West Hartford, CT Duration: 6-7 months Shift: 7:30am-4pm M-F and alt Sat 7am-12pm Pay Rate: $21/hr. on w2 Description: Patient-focused healthcare professional responsible for collecting blood specimens, preparing samples for laboratory testing, and ensuring accurate patient records while following safety, confidentiality, and quality standards. Provides excellent customer service, explains procedures clearly, and maintains a professional, trustworthy environment. Performs specimen collection and processing efficiently in a fast-paced setting with minimal supervision. Key Responsibilities Collect and process blood specimens safely and accurately Maintain patient records and documentation Ensure compliance with safety and confidentiality standards Deliver excellent patient and customer service Support daily operations and maintain a professional environment Requirements: High school diploma or equivalent Phlebotomy, medical assistant, or paramedic training preferred Phlebotomy certification preferred/required in some states Minimum 6 months phlebotomy experience preferred Pediatric and geriatric phlebotomy experience preferred Strong data entry and customer service skills Flexible schedule, including weekends, holidays, overtime, and on-call shifts
