Job Description

Join Pride Health as a Phlebotomist at Tulsa, OK! This is a 13 weeks contract role (with high possibility of extension or conversion) offering a great opportunity for experience to excel in a dynamic environment.

Role: Phlebotomist

Location: Tulsa, OK 74136 (Primary Site: 6717 S Yale Ave, Tulsa, OK - F(could be floating

between sites when needed))

Shift Schedule:

  • Monday - Friday: 8:00 AM - 5:00 PM
  • Some Saturdays: 8:00 AM - 12:00 PM (as needed)

Hours per Week: 40 hours

Start Date: ASAP

Pay Highlights: $17-19/hour (Based on years of experience & education)

Key Responsibilities:

  • Perform venipuncture and specimen collection using straight and butterfly needles.
  • Label, centrifuge, process, split, freeze, and package specimens according to laboratory protocols.
  • Verify patient information and ensure specimen accuracy.
  • Explain collection procedures professionally while maintaining patient comfort.
  • Update patient information and maintain accurate documentation.
  • Match laboratory requisitions with collected specimens.
  • Perform specimen handling and storage according to testing requirements.
  • Record maintenance and perform equipment decontamination.
  • Answer telephone inquiries and communicate laboratory information appropriately.
  • Follow OSHA, DEP, and all laboratory safety and quality standards.
  • Attend required departmental training and comply with company policies.

Qualifications:

Education: High School Diploma or GED required.

Experience:

  • Minimum 6 months - 1 year of phlebotomy experience in a hospital or high-volume laboratory setting.
  • Experience with:
  • Pediatric collections
  • Geriatric collections
  • Capillary collections

Note: Local candidates within 20-25 miles are eligible.

  • Offered pay rate will be based on education, experience, and healthcare credit.
