Job Title: Phlebotomist II Location: Gaithersburg, MD Position Type: 1-2 Months of Contract, End Date: 11/30/2026 Schedule: Day Shift Monday – Friday (20 hours/ Week) EST.
Pay Range: $24.51 - $26.27/hr on W2
Position Overview:
The Phlebotomist II / Patient Services Representative II (PSR II) serves as the primary point of contact for patients and is responsible for performing high-quality blood collection and specimen processing while providing excellent patient care.
The PSR II must create a professional, comfortable, and trustworthy experience for patients while following established procedures, maintaining confidentiality, and ensuring accurate specimen identification and processing.
Key Responsibilities:
Perform venipuncture and capillary blood collections accurately and safely.
Collect specimens from Pediatric, adult, and geriatric patients.
Process and prepare specimens according to established procedures.
Verify patient demographic information and obtain required signatures.
Ensure specimen labels are accurate and applied in the patient's presence.
Maintain accurate records and documentation.
Provide professional and compassionate customer service.
Maintain a safe, clean, and professional work environment.
Perform duties accurately and efficiently in a high-volume setting.
Follow all company policies, procedures, safety requirements, and dress code standards.
Demonstrate strong communication, teamwork, judgment, and organizational skills.
Support multiple Patient Service Center and in-office locations as business needs require.
Travel between locations and work flexible hours when necessary.
Required Qualifications:
Three years of phlebotomy experience.
Experience with Pediatric, geriatric, and capillary collections.
High school diploma or equivalent.
Keyboarding and data-entry experience.
Ability to perform accurate, error-free work in a fast-paced environment.
Ability to work independently with minimal supervision.
Excellent phlebotomy and patient-care skills.
Reliable transportation and valid driver's license with a clean driving record, if applicable.
Ability to handle multiple priorities in a high-volume environment.
Preferred Qualifications:
2 years of Patient Service Center experience.
Customer service experience in a retail or service environment.
Medical Assistant or Paramedic training.
Phlebotomy certification.
