Shift: Days; schedule may vary (typically 8:00 AM–5:00 PM or 7:00 AM–3:00 PM)
Job Summary
The Patient Services Representative II (PSR II) is responsible for collecting blood specimens, processing samples for laboratory testing, and delivering excellent patient care. This role requires accurate specimen collection, patient identification verification, and adherence to safety, quality, and confidentiality standards.
Key Responsibilities
- Perform venipuncture and specimen collection following established procedures.
- Verify patient identity and ensure accurate specimen labeling.
- Process and prepare specimens for laboratory testing.
- Maintain required documentation and records.
- Provide professional, patient-focused service and explain procedures clearly.
- Follow all safety, quality, and compliance guidelines.
- Travel between and support multiple patient service locations as needed.
Required Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- 3+ years of phlebotomy experience, including pediatric, geriatric, and capillary collections.
- Strong customer service and data entry skills.
- Ability to work independently in a fast-paced environment.
- Reliable transportation and flexibility to travel between locations.
- Medical Assistant, Paramedic, or Phlebotomy certification preferred (required in certain states).
Preferred Experience
- Patient Service Center (PSC) experience.
- Healthcare, retail, or service-based customer service background.
Additional Requirements
- Flexible availability for weekends, holidays, overtime, and on-call coverage as needed.
