Job Title: Phlebotomist II Job Location: Duluth, GA Job Duration: 3+ months (possible extension) Shift: Monday- Friday 9:00aM - 1:00pM Pay rate: $21.70 - 23.25/hr. on W2 Job Summary: The Patient Services Representative II (PSR II) serves as the primary point of contact for patients and is responsible for collecting quality blood specimens for laboratory testing. This role requires professionalism, strong phlebotomy skills, attention to detail, and excellent patient service. The PSR II ensures accurate specimen collection and labeling while maintaining patient confidentiality and following all established procedures and safety standards. Assignments may include work at patient service centers, physician offices, or other locations based on business needs. Key Responsibilities: Perform daily specimen collection and processing activities accurately and on time. Collect blood specimens using venipuncture and capillary techniques. Handle both clinical and forensic specimen collection and processing. Verify patient demographic information and ensure specimen labels are accurate. Obtain patient signatures confirming specimen labeling accuracy. Maintain required records and documentation. Follow all safety, confidentiality, and compliance procedures. Provide excellent customer service and maintain a professional environment. Support organizational goals and promote a positive company image. Qualifications: High school diploma or equivalent required. Medical assistant or paramedic training preferred. Phlebotomy certification preferred (required in CA, NV, and WA). Required Experience: 1–3 years of phlebotomy experience required, including: Pediatric collections Geriatric collections Capillary collections Patient Service Center experience preferred. Customer service experience strongly preferred. Keyboard and data entry skills required. Required Skills: Strong phlebotomy and specimen handling skills. Ability to work independently with minimal supervision. Ability to multitask in a fast-paced environment. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills. Strong attention to detail and accuracy. Ability to adapt to changing priorities and staffing needs.
