  • Monday – Friday: 9:00 AM – 5:30 PM CST
 
If Assigned to Weekend/Holiday Rotation:
  • Weekends: 8:45 AM – 5:30 PM CST
  • Holidays: 7:45 AM – 4:30 PM CST
 
 
Job Summary
  • The Phlebotomist II (Patient Services Representative II) serves as the face of the organization, providing exceptional patient care while performing blood collection and specimen processing procedures. This role requires strong phlebotomy expertise, attention to detail, and excellent customer service skills in a fast-paced healthcare environment.
 
Key Responsibilities
  • Perform venipuncture, capillary, and specimen collection procedures accurately and safely.
  • Prepare and process specimens for laboratory testing following established protocols.
  • Verify patient demographic information and ensure proper specimen labeling.
  • Obtain patient signatures post-collection to confirm specimen identification accuracy.
  • Maintain accurate records and documentation.
  • Adhere to all company policies, safety standards, and confidentiality requirements.
  • Provide professional and compassionate patient interactions to build trust and confidence.
  • Support both clinical and forensic specimen collection processes.
  • Maintain a clean, safe, and organized work environment.
  • Travel to multiple patient service centers and client locations as needed.
 
Required Qualifications
  • High School Diploma or GED required.
  • 1–3 years of phlebotomy experience required.
  • Experience with pediatric, geriatric, and capillary collections.
  • Strong specimen handling and processing skills.
  • Excellent customer service and communication abilities.
  • Basic keyboarding and data entry skills.
  • Ability to work independently with minimal supervision.
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities in a high-volume environment.
  • Reliable transportation and valid driver's license (if applicable).
Preferred Qualifications
  • Medical Assistant or Paramedic training.
  • Phlebotomy certification preferred (required in CA, NV, and WA).
  • 2+ years of Patient Service Center (PSC) experience.
  • Previous retail, healthcare, or service-oriented customer service experience.
 
Additional Requirements
  • Flexibility to work weekends, holidays, overtime, and on-call schedules as needed.
  • Willingness to travel and cover multiple locations with minimal notice.
  • Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality and patient safety.
  • Ability to adapt to changing business needs and staffing requirements.
