Job Title Phlebotomist II – Float (Patient Services Representative II) Location Tamarac, FL (Floating between multiple sites) Duration 3+ Months (Possibility of Extension) Shift Timings Monday–Friday: 5:00 AM – 4:00 PM Saturday: 6:30 AM – 1:00 PM Job Summary The Phlebotomist II / Patient Services Representative II (PSR II) serves as the face of the organization to patients, providing high-quality blood collection services while delivering exceptional customer care. This role is responsible for performing venipuncture and specimen processing accurately, safely, and efficiently while maintaining patient trust, confidentiality, and compliance with established procedures. As a Float, the Phlebotomist II will travel between multiple locations based on business needs and must be flexible, reliable, and punctual. The position requires strong phlebotomy expertise, excellent interpersonal skills, and the ability to work independently in fast-paced environments. Key Responsibilities Perform daily phlebotomy and specimen collection activities accurately and on time under the direction of the area supervisor Draw quality blood samples using proper techniques for pediatric, geriatric, and capillary collections Conduct both clinical and forensic specimen collection and processing following established protocols Verify patient identity and demographic information, obtain patient signatures, and ensure specimens are labeled correctly in the patient’s presence Prepare and process specimens for laboratory testing according to standard operating procedures Maintain required records, logs, and documentation with a high level of accuracy Ensure compliance with patient confidentiality, safety standards, and regulatory requirements Maintain a clean, safe, and professional work environment Demonstrate organizational commitment and leadership behaviors while promoting a positive image to patients, clients, staff, and the public Travel between assigned locations with minimal notice and arrive on time as scheduled Submit mileage for reimbursement in accordance with company policy Job Requirements Ability to deliver high-quality, error-free work in a fast-paced environment Ability to work independently with minimal on-site supervision Excellent interpersonal, communication, and customer service skills Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities Flexibility to work weekends, holidays, overtime, and on-call shifts as needed Willingness to travel between multiple Patient Service Centers and in-office locations Commitment to company policies, procedures, dress code, and safety standards Ability to exercise sound judgment and make decisions based on established procedures Reliable transportation, valid driver’s license, and clean driving record Comfort working in high-volume settings Required Education High school diploma or equivalent (Required) Medical training (Medical Assistant or Paramedic) preferred Phlebotomy certification preferred Required in California, Nevada, and Washington Work Experience 1–3 years of phlebotomy experience required, including pediatric, geriatric, and capillary collections 2 years of experience in a Patient Service Center environment preferred Customer service experience in a retail or service environment strongly preferred Keyboarding and data entry experience required Additional Information Float staff are expected to cover multiple sites and be punctual at assigned locations Training locations may vary based on trainer availability Mileage reimbursement is available for travel between sitesI
