Job Title: Phlebotomist II - Float Job Duration: 3 months (possible extension) Job Location: Valrico, FL 33594 Shift: Monday-Friday w/rotating Saturdays (Availability between 5:00AM – 3:00PM) Job Description Draw quality blood samples from patients and prepare those specimens for lab testing while following established practices and procedures. Have direct contact with patients and creates an atmosphere of trust and confidence while explaining procedures to patients and drawing blood specimens in a skillful, safe, and accurate manner. Demonstrate Leadership Behaviours while focusing on process excellence skills and sensitivity to confidentiality and accuracy to patient information. Performs with confidence, both the forensic and clinical specimen collection and processing duties following established practices and procedures. Maintains required records and documentation. Demonstrates organizational commitment and promotes a positive image to patients, clients, employees, and the public in general. Requirements Minimum of 3 years phlebotomy experience, including pediatric and geriatric patients (Required) At least 2 years in a Patient Service Center or similar setting (Preferred) Customer service experience in a healthcare or retail setting (Preferred) Basic computer and data entry skills Additional Requirements Reliable personal transportation (public transportation, Uber, or rideshare not acceptable) Valid driver’s license and clean driving record (Required) Eligible for mileage reimbursement when traveling between sites Must be punctual and ready to work at any assigned location within the coverage area Skills Strong phlebotomy and patient interaction skills Independent and able to manage time effectively Flexible, adaptable, and dependable in changing environments Ability to multitask in a high-volume setting Professional and patient-focused attitude Work Environment This is a mobile/float position covering multiple phlebotomy service sites in the area. Candidates must be willing and able to adapt to same-day location changes and schedule adjustments. Training may occur at various locations based on trainer availability.I
