Job Title: Phlebotomist II
Job Description
The Phlebotomist II supports high-quality patient care by performing blood draws and other specimen collections, processing and preparing specimens for transport, and maintaining accurate documentation. This role involves working in a float capacity across multiple clinic locations, serving primarily adult and geriatric patients, with some pediatric collections. The position requires strong technical phlebotomy skills, the ability to manage a high volume of daily draws, and a commitment to excellent customer service and safety standards.

Work Environment
This role is based in a clinical setting with initial training provided during the first two weeks at a designated site. After training, the Phlebotomist II works in a float capacity and travels to a wide range of clinic locations, including Merrillville, LaPorte, Knox, Crown Point, Munster, Schererville, Chicago, Dyer, Valparaiso, and Michigan City. The position involves drawing and processing specimens in various outpatient and clinic environments, requiring adaptability to different workflows and teams. Schedules are provided 1–2 weeks in advance to indicate where to report each day. The role requires availability Monday through Friday between 6:00 a.m. and 7:30 p.m., with rotating Saturday shifts from approximately 8:00 a.m. to 12:00 p.m. or 9:00 a.m. to 1:00 p.m.; a weekday off is provided when a Saturday shift is scheduled, which typically occurs about once per month. The work involves regular travel, for which mileage is reimbursed, and consistent adherence to clinical safety standards and specimen handling protocols

Pay and BenefitsThe pay range for this position is $19.00 - $23.00/hr.
