Location: Johns Creek, GA 30097
Job Duration: Contract 3 Months
End Date: December 26, 2026
Schedule: Monday–Thursday, 8:30 AM–5:00 PM; Friday, 8:30 AM–2:00 PM | 40 hours/week | Weekdays
Position Summary:
  • The Phlebotomist II (Patient Services Representative II) provides high-quality patient service while performing blood collection and specimen processing. This role requires strong phlebotomy skills, attention to accuracy, confidentiality, and the ability to work independently in a fast-paced environment.
 
Key Responsibilities:
  • Perform venipuncture, capillary, pediatric, and geriatric collections.
  • Collect, label, verify, and process clinical and forensic specimens according to established procedures.
  • Verify patient demographics and specimen information for accuracy.
  • Obtain required patient signatures following venipuncture.
  • Maintain accurate records and documentation.
  • Provide patients with clear explanations of collection procedures and create a professional, trusting environment.
  • Maintain a safe, clean, and professional work environment.
  • Handle multiple priorities efficiently in a high-volume setting.
  • Follow all company policies, procedures, safety standards, and confidentiality requirements.
  • Demonstrate excellent customer service and communication skills.
  • Work independently with minimal supervision.
  • Travel between Patient Service Centers and physician offices as staffing needs require.
 
Required Qualifications:
  • High school diploma or equivalent — Required
  • 1–3 years of phlebotomy experience — Required
  • Experience with pediatric, geriatric, and capillary collections — Required
  • Strong phlebotomy and specimen-handling skills.
  • Ability to perform accurately in a fast-paced environment.
  • Keyboard/data-entry experience.
  • Ability to work independently and make decisions based on established procedures.
  • Reliable transportation and valid driver's license/clean driving record, if applicable.
  • Flexibility to support staffing needs and work at multiple locations when required.
 
Preferred Qualifications:
  • 2 years of Patient Service Center experience
  • Medical Assistant or Paramedic training
  • Phlebotomy certification
  • Customer service experience in a retail or service environment
  • Experience working in a high-volume healthcare setting
