Job Title: Phlebotomist II
Location: Troy, MO
Duration: 3-Month Contract
Schedule: Monday–Friday, 7:30 AM – 4:00 PM (40 hours/week)
 
Job Summary:
  • We are seeking an experienced Phlebotomist II to join a leading diagnostic healthcare organization in Troy, MO. The ideal candidate will have strong venipuncture skills and experience working with paediatric, geriatric, and capillary collections in a fast-paced patient service environment.
 
Key Responsibilities:
  • Perform venipuncture and specimen collection following established procedures.
  • Collect, process, and prepare specimens for laboratory testing.
  • Verify patient information and ensure accurate specimen labeling.
  • Maintain required documentation and records.
  • Provide excellent customer service while creating a professional and welcoming patient experience.
  • Follow all safety, quality, and confidentiality standards.
  • Support both clinical and forensic specimen collection as needed.
  • Maintain a clean, safe, and organized work environment.
 
Required Qualifications:
  • High School Diploma or equivalent.
  • Minimum 3 years of phlebotomy experience.
  • Experience with pediatric, geriatric, and capillary collections.
  • Strong specimen handling and processing skills.
  • Excellent customer service and communication abilities.
  • Ability to work independently with minimal supervision.
  • Basic keyboard and data entry skills.
 
Preferred Qualifications:
  • Phlebotomy certification.
  • Medical Assistant or Paramedic training.
  • Minimum 2 years of Patient Service Center (PSC) experience.
  • Previous healthcare, retail, or service-oriented customer service experience.
 
Additional Requirements:
  • Reliable transportation.
  • Ability to adapt to changing priorities in a high-volume environment.
  • Flexibility to work overtime, weekends, or cover additional locations when needed.
  • Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality patient care.
