Responsibilities:

• Perform venipuncture and capillary blood draws on patients of all ages with accuracy and care
• Properly label, process, and prepare blood specimens for laboratory analysis
• Maintain a clean, organized, and sterile work environment in compliance with infection control standards
• Verify patient identity and review test orders prior to specimen collection
• Document collection procedures and update patient records accurately in the EHR system
• Communicate clearly and compassionately with patients to reduce anxiety during procedures
• Follow OSHA, HIPAA, and clinic-specific safety and compliance protocols

Requirements:

• High school diploma or GED required
• Certified Phlebotomy Technician (CPT) certification preferred or equivalent training
• Previous phlebotomy or clinical experience preferred
• Proficiency in venipuncture techniques including difficult draws
• Strong attention to detail and commitment to specimen integrity
• Excellent interpersonal and patient communication skills
• Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced clinical setting
