Performs blood collection by venipuncture and skin puncture. Assists in pre-analytical phase of testing: accessioning, processing, distributing specimens to workstation. Assists in post-analytical phase of testing: report distribution, hand carried, faxed, LIS generated to printer. Interacts well with all patients, co-workers and physicians.
Requirements include current phlebotomy certification from the State of California, high school graduation and 2 years of robust experience in an acute care setting. Must maintain current AHA sponsored CPR certification.
The pay range for this position is $21.00-22.75/hr.
