    Phlebotomist

    Department:: Medical

Bring your steady hands, sharp eye for detail, and heart for patient care.

Are you the kind of person who can calm nerves, keep things moving, and make patients feel cared for during even the quickest lab visit? If so, we would love to interview you.

HealthCore Clinic is looking for a phlebotomist to join our clinical team and help provide high-quality, efficient care to adult and pediatric patients. In this role, you will do more than collect specimens. You will be part of a compassionate care team that supports patients, providers, and the overall health of our community.

    What You Will Be Doing

As our phlebotomist, you will help keep patient care running smoothly by:

Skillfully performing venipuncture, finger sticks, heel sticks, toe sticks, and other specimen collection procedures.

Making sure every specimen is collected from the right patient, labeled correctly, tracked properly, and delivered where it needs to go.

Processing specimens using the laboratory computer system and supporting efficient pre-analytic workflow.

Collecting cultures for Microbiology and Virology using aseptic technique and proper site selection.

Supporting providers with lab-related duties and other patient care needs.

Stocking the lab area, cleaning, and sterilizing equipment, and keeping the workspace safe, organized, and ready for action.

Following infection control, PPE, bloodborne pathogen, hazardous material, and universal precaution procedures.

Communicating warmly and professionally with patients, families, visitors, providers, and team members.

Encouraging patients in healthy behaviors and supporting a patient-centered approach to care.

You will Love This Role If You

Have a calm, friendly approach that helps patients feel at ease.

Like work that is active, meticulous, and meaningful.

Can balance accuracy, speed, and compassion.

Enjoy being part of a team that works together to care for the whole patient.

Take pride in doing things the right way, especially when it comes to safety, confidentiality, and documentation.

    What We are Looking For

    Required

High school diploma or GED equivalent.

    Phlebotomy certification.

Current CPR certification, or the ability to obtain CPR certification within 30 days of employment.

Strong diligence, organizational skills, and time management.

Excellent written and verbal communication skills.

    Ability to always maintain confidentiality.

Comfort working with diverse and vulnerable patient populations.

Computer literacy, including experience with medical center software, data entry, typing, and documentation.

    Preferred

One to three years of previous phlebotomy experience.

Experience working in a clinic, medical office, laboratory, or community health setting.

What Makes You a Great Fit

We are looking for someone who is:

    Positive, professional, and friendly.

Dependable and flexible when the day takes an unexpected turn.

Comfortable working independently and as part of a team.

Customer-service-minded with patients, visitors, coworkers, and external partners.

Committed to the mission, goals, and values of HealthCore Clinic.

A Little About the Work Environment

This position is primarily in an indoor clinical office setting. Because this is a hands-on healthcare role, you may be exposed to blood, bodily fluids, tissues, needles, sharp objects, and potential communicable disease risks. PPE is required and safety procedures are a top priority.

The role may involve sitting, standing, walking, repetitive hand, and arm movement, bending, reaching, squatting, kneeling, and lifting up to fifty pounds occasionally.

Ready to Make a Difference, One Patient at a Time?

If you are a certified Phlebotomist who cares about accuracy, safety, teamwork, and making people feel comfortable, we would love to hear from you.
