Demonstrates proper infection control practices, proper patient identification, performs proper prompt specimen transport. Performs proper drug screen collection and processing as assigned. Provides phlebotomy services in a professional and patient-centered manner. QualificationsJob Requirements:High School diploma or equivalentCompletion of an accredited phlebotomy/medical assistant program with clinicals or previous phlebotomy experienceCertification from nationally recognized agency. Accepted agencies and certifications include, but are not limited to:National Heathcareer Association - Certified Phlebotomy Technician: CPT (NHA)American Society for Clinical Pathology - Phlebotomy Technician: PBT (ASCP)American Medical Technologists - Registered Phlebotomy Technician: RPT (AMT)National Center for Competency Testing - National Certified Phlebotomy Technician: NCPT (NCCT)American Certification Agency - Certified Phlebotomy Technician: CPT (ACA)Preferred Job Requirements:Experience working in the inpatient clinical setting
