This is a CONTINUOUS recruitment for an applicant POOL to fill part-time, temporary, hourly assignments on an as-needed basis. Departments or Divisions will refer to the POOL of applications on file to fill temporary assignments as the need arises. Position Summary Information
Job Description Summary
The purpose of this position is to provide high quality instruction and maintain a positive, safe learning environment for all students by instructing assigned courses in a variety of times and locations in response to institutional need.
Phlebotomist:
Performs various types of specimen collection, phlebotomy (including mobile route) and drug test monitoring. Reviews lab reports and performs quality review and troubleshooting, resolving problems as they occur. Demonstrate to the students how to: obtain blood specimens by established venipuncture and capillary techniques; Label samples, send specimens to the laboratory for analysis, and how to complete essential records.
Electrocardiography (EKG):
This course will target students who are interested in learning the fundamentals of becoming a cardiovascular technician.
The instructor will demonstrate the fundamentals of cardiovascular anatomy and physiology. Includes basic electrocardiography procedures, interpretation of basic dysrhythmias, and appropriate treatment modalities.
Describe the anatomy and physiology of the cardiovascular system; perform basic electrocardiography procedures; and interpret basic dysrhythmias.
Minimum Qualifications
Certifications in related field and/or High School Diploma.
Minimum 5 years related work experience.
Some disciplines may require additional education or certification.

Excellent communication skills.
Efficient computer skills.
Ability to maintain confidentiality.
Preferred Qualifications
Two (2) years teaching or training experience. Experience developing lesson plans, classroom management, and curriculum.

Job Duty
Maintain daily attendance rosters.
Submit final hard copies of daily attendance rosters and grade sheets to the Continuing Education Department.
