Phlebotomy Manager – Boston, MA 02115

Salary: $83,000–$120,000 annually

We are seeking an experienced Phlebotomy Manager to join a well-established healthcare organization in the Boston, Massachusetts area. This is an excellent opportunity for a laboratory professional with strong leadership experience who is looking to oversee phlebotomy operations in a fast-paced clinical environment.

Responsibilities

• Provide leadership and oversight for phlebotomy and specimen collection operations
• Supervise, support, and develop phlebotomy/laboratory staff
• Maintain high standards for patient care, specimen quality, safety, and operational efficiency
• Ensure compliance with applicable laboratory policies and regulatory requirements
• Support quality assurance and process improvement initiatives
• Maintain readiness for regulatory inspections and accreditation requirements
• Collaborate with laboratory leadership and other clinical departments
• Travel between locations in Boston, Brockton, and Brighton as needed

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree from an accredited college or university in Medical Technology, Clinical Laboratory Science, or a related field
• Minimum of 3 years of clinical laboratory experience
• Strong knowledge of laboratory regulatory and accreditation requirements, particularly The Joint Commission and College of American Pathologists (CAP)
• Ability to work on-site full time
• Ability to travel between Boston, Brockton, and Brighton locations

Preferred Qualifications

• Previous supervisory or management experience within a clinical laboratory or phlebotomy department
• ASCP, NCA, or equivalent certification as a Medical Technologist (MT), Medical Laboratory Scientist (MLS), Clinical Laboratory Scientist (CLS), Medical Laboratory Technician (MLT), or applicable specialty
• Experience overseeing phlebotomy, specimen collection, or patient-facing laboratory services

Compensation

$83,000–$120,000 annually, depending on experience, education, certifications, and qualifications.
