    Description

    PHP Developer IILocation: Horsham, PA - In-Office | Hybrid available after successful onboarding periodSchedule: Typically Monday-Friday from 9 am - 6 pmOverview:The PHP Developer II is responsible for designing, developing, and maintaining high-quality database-driven web applications with a focus on backend functionality. This role involves collaborating with a team of developers to deliver robust and scalable web solutions. The ideal candidate has a strong background in web development, relational databases, excellent problem-solving skills, and the ability to work independently and as part of a team.Key Responsibilities:

    Develop, test, and deploy high-quality web applications using PHP, SQL and relevant web technologies

    Write clean, maintainable, and efficient code, following best practices and coding standards

    Troubleshoot and resolve complex technical issues in production and development environments

    Integrate third-party APIs and services into web applications

    Perform code reviews and provide constructive feedback, mentorship, and support to junior developers

    Stay updated on emerging technologies and industry trends to improve skills and knowledge continuously

    Participate in the full software development lifecycle, from requirements gathering to deployment and maintenance

    Assist in the development of technical documentation, including user guides and API documentation

    Contribute to the improvement of the web development process and practices within the team

    Work efficiently to ensure uptime and optimum user experience

    Understanding of common web application security concerns and their mitigation

    Assist in the monitoring and maintenance of Linux servers

    Required Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:

    Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Web Development, or a related field, or equivalent practical experience

    Minimum of 3-5 years of experience in PHP development

    Proficiency in SQL (MySQL, HANA, and SQL Server) and ability to write and optimize SQL queries

    Strong understanding of version control systems, such as Git

    Experience with web performance optimization

    Experience in Linux system administration

    Experience developing and integrating with RESTful APIs

    Desirable Skills:

    Knowledge of CSS and JavaScript (Bootstrap 5 is a plus)

    Knowledge of web accessibility standards and best practices

    Ability to work independently and collaboratively within a team

    Excellent communication and interpersonal skills

    Ability to manage time effectively and meet deadlines

    Ability to handle challenging situations professionally

    Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail
