DESCRIPTIVE STATEMENT

OF POSITION:

• Teach and ensure students learn the Massachusetts Comprehensive Health and Physical Education Frameworks;
• Differentiate instruction for students of all readiness levels, providing individual, small group, and whole-class lessons to learn the framework standards;
• Understand and implement the best practices of teaching and learning;
• Deliver dynamic, high-quality instruction that engages and meets the needs of all learners, including sub-separate adapted classes;
• Develop school initiatives to engage the broader community around physical well-being, wellness, and fitness, including an annual field day event;
• Engage students in both team sports and individual activities, to motivate and excite students while emphasizing the importance of life-long physical activity, social skills, and team work;
• Infuse character education, collaboration, and cooperation into daily instruction;
• Collaborate closely with colleagues inside and outside the classroom;
• Possess a positive attitude, flexibility, and a willingness to be a team player.

QUALIFICATIONS:

Massachusetts Certification, Physical Education, PreK-8

Highly Qualified and Experience Preferred

SALARY:

$58,420.00 - $120,304.00
