Duties

Lostant CUSD 425 is seeking a full-time physical education teacher with a social science, science, or math middle school endorsement for the 2026-27 school year. This is an incredible opportunity in a small, exemplary school district.

In addition to being a child-centered teacher who works well as part of a dynamic team and staff, the successful candidate must possess a current Professional Educator''s License and be willing to obtain middle school endorsements needed to serve the learning community.

Other Duties

• Develop and deliver lessons aligned with Illinois state standards and district curriculum
• Differentiate instruction to meet the needs of diverse learners, including students with IEPs and 504 plans.
• Maintain and organize equipment, materials, and classroom resources
• Establish and maintain a structured, positive classroom learning environment
• Implement effective classroom management strategies
• Collaborate with grade-level teams and colleagues on curriculum planning
• Participate in faculty meetings, professional development, and school events

Qualifications

Professional Educator''s License in physical education

Middle school endorsement in social science, science, and/ or math or willingness to obtain
