Position Overview:
St. Patrick's School in Mauston is seeking a dedicated and energetic Physical Education Teacher to join our faculty. The ideal candidate will foster a positive, inclusive, and engaging environment that promotes physical fitness, teamwork, and healthy lifestyle habits among students. Physical Education Class is held on Wednesday, Thursday, and Friday.
Key Responsibilities:
Plan and deliver age-appropriate physical education curriculum aligned with school standards
Promote physical fitness, sportsmanship, and teamwork through a variety of activities
Assess and monitor student progress, providing feedback and encouragement
Maintain a safe and organized environment for all physical activities
Collaborate with faculty and staff to support overall student development
Organize and support school athletic events and extracurricular activities as needed
Recess duty 2 days a week
Qualifications:
Bachelor's degree in Physical Education or teaching field
Valid Wisconsin teaching license (or ability to obtain)
Strong classroom management and communication skills
Passion for working with children and promoting healthy lifestyles
Commitment to the values and mission of a faith-based school environment
Preferred Qualifications:
Previous teaching experience in a school setting
Experience coaching or leading extracurricular sports programs
