• Start: July 7, 2026
• Pay Rate: $65.00 / Hour (USD)
• Shift / Schedule: 5x8; Tuesday Saturday, 9:00 AM 5:30 PM (Day Shift)
• Guaranteed Hours: Facility is able to call off once per two-week pay period
• Work Authorization: Applicants must be authorized to work for ANY employer in the U.S. We are unable to sponsor or take over sponsorship of an employment Visa at this time.

Job Summary

This is a Physical Therapist position in an Acute Care Hospital setting at a 212-bed facility in Apple Valley, CA. The role is a Travel/Contract Allied Health assignment working within a full acute care environment. First-time travelers are accepted for this assignment.

Key Responsibilities

• Perform physical therapy evaluation and assessment of patients across acute care settings including ER, Geriatrics, ICU, Medical Surgical, and Orthopedics
• Develop and implement individualized Plans of Care and Short Term Goals
• Conduct reassessments and document patient progress
• Provide Gait Training including use of assistive devices, gait belts, crutches, and standard walkers
• Assist with Lifting and Transfer of patients utilizing proper Body Mechanics
• Perform range of motion activities including AROM, AAROM, and PROM
• Conduct Strength Testing, Pain Assessment, and Skin Integrity assessments
• Monitor and document Vital Signs
• Develop and instruct on Home Exercise Programs
• Provide Patient and Family Education
• Manage patients on Supplemental O2 and those with complex conditions including COPD, CHF, CABG, and Myocardial Infarction (MI)
• Facilitate rehabilitation for patients with Hip Fractures/Injuries, Knee Injuries/Tendinopathy, Total Hip Replacement, Total Knee Replacement, and Post Stroke Rehabilitation
• Respond to Call Lights and assist with Hospital Bed mobility
• Prepare Discharge planning and documentation

Education Requirements

• CA PT License required
• BLS Certification required
• Minimum 1 year of experience required (first-time travelers accepted)

• Acute Care Hospital setting (212 staffed beds)
• Charting system: Epic
• Scrub color: Navy blue (RNs); L&D/OR scrubs provided
• Free parking on site
