OverviewThe Physical Therapist is responsible for examining, evaluating, and testing patients/clients with mechanical, physiological and developmental impairments, functional limitations, and disabilities or other health and movement-related conditions to determine a diagnosis, prognosis and plan of treatment intervention, and to assess the ongoing effects of intervention in accordance with the scope of the profession, the State Practice Act, Licensure and policies of UnityPoint Health. The Physical Therapist is responsible for accurate documentation and billing as well as maintaining communication with referring providers and teammates, as ethically appropriate, to develop and implement a comprehensive plan of care best suited for the environment in which care is provided. (ie: acute hospital, inpatient rehabilitation, outpatient, in the home, etc.)
