Job Summary

We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Physical Therapist Assistant (PTA) to join our healthcare team in Concord, CA. The PTA will work under the supervision of a licensed Physical Therapist to provide rehabilitative care to patients recovering from injuries, surgeries, or managing chronic conditions. The ideal candidate will have strong interpersonal skills and a commitment to improving patient outcomes.

Key Responsibilities

• Assist Physical Therapists in implementing treatment plans designed to improve patient mobility and reduce pain.
• Provide therapeutic exercises, manual therapy, and modalities as directed by the Physical Therapist.
• Monitor and document patient progress and report any changes or concerns to the supervising Physical Therapist.
• Educate patients and their families on exercises, equipment use, and injury prevention techniques.
• Maintain a safe and clean treatment environment, ensuring all equipment is properly sanitized and maintained.
• Collaborate with healthcare team members to coordinate patient care and optimize rehabilitation outcomes.

Qualifications

• Associate's degree from an accredited Physical Therapist Assistant program.
• Current and valid California PTA license or certification.
• Strong knowledge of physical therapy techniques, anatomy, and rehabilitation principles.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to work effectively both independently and as part of a multidisciplinary team.
• Basic computer skills for documentation and scheduling.

Work Environment

This position is based in a clinical setting in Concord, CA. The role may require standing for extended periods, assisting patients with mobility, and occasional lifting of equipment or patients as needed.
