Physical Therapist Assistant
We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Physical Therapist Assistant (PTA) to provide high-quality patient care under the direction of a licensed Physical Therapist. In this role, you will help patients improve mobility, restore function, and achieve rehabilitation goals while ensuring compliance with all applicable clinical and regulatory standards.
Key Responsibilities
Carry out treatment plans developed by a licensed Physical Therapist.
Assist patients with therapeutic exercises, mobility training, and rehabilitation activities.
Prepare treatment rooms and equipment while maintaining a safe clinical environment.
Accurately document patient treatments, progress, and responses in a timely manner.
Collaborate with Physical Therapists and other healthcare professionals to support quality patient care.
Communicate effectively with patients and caregivers regarding treatment activities.
Participate in staff meetings, required training, and continuing education opportunities.
Follow OSHA, Medicare, state regulations, and organizational policies related to patient care.
Required Qualifications
Graduate of a CAPTE-accredited Physical Therapist Assistant program or an equivalent internationally recognized program.
Active and unrestricted Physical Therapist Assistant license or certification in the applicable state.
Ability to lift up to 50 pounds and remain on your feet for extended periods.
Strong communication, interpersonal, and organizational skills.
Working knowledge of medical terminology and clinical documentation.
Preferred Qualifications
Previous experience in an outpatient, rehabilitation, or skilled nursing environment.
Commitment to patient-centered care and continuous professional development.
Ability to work effectively in a collaborative healthcare team.
