Overview:

Position: Physical Therapist Assistant 

Location: Fairfield, CT

Schedule: Monday through Friday

PRN and part-time are also available

Compensation: hourly rate starting at $29/hr based on experience

 

Our Select Physical Therapy outpatient orthopedic center is seeking a licensed physical therapist assistant (PTA) to provide top-notch patient care to patients of all ages and abilities. Our highly trained and respected clinical team provides treatment services that maximize functionality and promote the best optimal outcomes for our patients. Fairfield is a 2 PT center.  A center manager and staff PT.  We also have 2 days of OT hand therapy.  We have a history of working closely with the high schools in the area (2 public and one prep school).  Heavy ortho patient population.  Fairfield CT is an affluent community with an active population.

Responsibilities:

• Responsible for patient care under the direction and supervision of a licensed physical therapist as mandated by State Practice Act.
• Implement, with minimal supervision, high quality physical therapy services for patients, caregivers and facilities in accordance with the principals and practices of physical therapy and with Select Medical policies and procedures
• Maintain positive level of interaction with centers and patients, and enhance and expand client relations with centers and their staff.

Qualifications:

• College graduate of an accredited physical therapist assistant program
• Passed a national examination for PTAs certified by the CAPTE
• Valid state physical therapist assistant (PTA) license (or license in process)
• CPR certification
