Position: Physical Therapist Assistant (PTA) - Geriatric

Salary Range: $45-50 per hour

Hours: 35 hours per week, Monday-Friday, no weekend rotation

Facility: 126-bed Skilled Nursing Facility (SNF)

We are seeking a highly skilled and compassionate Physical Therapist Assistant (PTA) to join our team at our 126-bed Skilled Nursing Facility (SNF). As a PTA in our facility, you will work closely with our team of physical therapists to provide comprehensive rehabilitation services to our geriatric patients.

Key Responsibilities:

- Assist in the evaluation and treatment of patients under the direction of a licensed physical therapist

- Implement individualized treatment plans to help patients improve their mobility, strength, and overall physical function

- Monitor and document patient progress and communicate updates to the physical therapist and other members of the healthcare team

- Educate patients and their families on exercises and activities to improve their condition and prevent further injury

- Collaborate with other therapists and healthcare professionals to ensure the best possible outcomes for patients

- Maintain accurate and up-to-date patient records and documentation

- Adhere to all facility policies and procedures, as well as state and federal regulations related to physical therapy services

Qualifications:

- Associate's degree from an accredited Physical Therapist Assistant program

- Current state PTA license

- Minimum of 1-2 years of experience in a geriatric setting preferred

- Strong knowledge of physical therapy principles and techniques

- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills

- Ability to work effectively in a team environment

- Compassionate and patient-centered approach to care

- Basic computer skills and proficiency in electronic medical records
