    Help Patients Reclaim Their Independence Doctors Hospital of Augusta is seeking a compassionate and motivated Physical Therapist Assistant (PTA) to join our Inpatient Rehabilitation team. In this role, you will work alongside Physical Therapists and a multidisciplinary rehabilitation team to provide exceptional care to patients recovering from stroke, neurological conditions, orthopedic injuries, trauma, surgery, and other complex medical conditions. You'll have the opportunity to make a meaningful impact by helping patients achieve functional goals and return to the activities that matter most.Position Responsibilities Provide physical therapy treatments and interventions under the direction of a licensed Physical TherapistAssist patients with mobility, gait training, balance activities, strengthening exercises, and functional tasksMonitor patient response to treatment and communicate progress to the supervising therapistDocument patient treatments and progress accurately and timelyCollaborate with physicians, nurses, therapists, case managers, and other members of the rehabilitation teamEducate patients and families regarding therapeutic exercises and rehabilitation goalsSupport a patient-centered approach focused on safety, dignity, and clinical excellenceWhy Join Doctors Hospital of Augusta? Doctors Hospital of Augusta, part of HCA Healthcare, is a 350-bed hospital that provides a wide range of medical services. It is known for its 24/7 emergency care, Level II Trauma Center, Burn Center, advanced heart care, and Baby-Friendly maternity services. The hospital also offers surgery, women's imaging, and a neonatal intensive care unit (NICU), and it accepts most insurance plans.
