Position Summary:
Oak Manor Healthcare & Rehab Center is seeking a compassionate and motivated Physical Therapist Assistant (PTA) to join our rehabilitation team on a part-time and per diem basis. The PTA will work under the direction and supervision of a licensed Physical Therapist to provide high-quality rehabilitation services to residents in our skilled nursing and rehabilitation facility.
Key Responsibilities:
Implement physical therapy treatment plans developed by the supervising Physical Therapist
Assist residents with therapeutic exercises, mobility training, gait training, and functional activities
Monitor and document resident progress and response to treatment
Communicate effectively with the interdisciplinary care team regarding resident status and progress
Ensure compliance with facility policies, safety standards, and state/federal regulations
Educate residents and caregivers on exercises and mobility techniques as appropriate
Qualifications:
Graduate of an accredited Physical Therapist Assistant program
Current Florida PTA license in good standing
Previous experience in a skilled nursing facility or rehabilitation setting preferred
Strong interpersonal and communication skills
Ability to work collaboratively with therapists, nursing staff, and interdisciplinary teams
Commitment to providing compassionate, resident-centered care
Schedule:
Part-Time and Per Diem opportunities available
