Position Details
- Position: Physical Therapist Assistant (PTA)
- Location: Los Angeles, CA
- Schedule: Monday-Friday
- Shift: 8:00 AM 4:30 PM
Job Responsibilities
- Implement physical therapy treatment plans developed by the supervising Physical Therapist.
- Provide therapeutic exercises and functional mobility training to patients.
- Assist patients in improving strength, balance, coordination, endurance, and mobility.
- Monitor patient progress and document treatment outcomes accurately.
- Educate patients and caregivers on exercise programs, safety precautions, and mobility techniques.
- Train patients in the use of assistive devices such as walkers, canes, and wheelchairs.
- Assist with transfer training, gait training, and activities designed to increase independence.
- Collaborate with Physical Therapists, Occupational Therapists, nursing staff, and interdisciplinary team members.
- Maintain treatment documentation in accordance with facility, state, and federal regulations.
- Ensure a safe therapeutic environment and promote patient comfort and recovery.
Required Qualifications
- Active Physical Therapist Assistant (PTA) License
- Previous rehabilitation, skilled nursing, or subacute experience preferred
- Strong communication and patient care skills
- Ability to work collaboratively within an interdisciplinary rehabilitation team
