Lubbock Sports Rehab is seeking a motivated, patient-focused Physical Therapist Assistant (PTA) to join our growing team. As the official rehabilitation partner of Lubbock Sports Medicine, we provide comprehensive orthopedic and sports rehabilitation services in collaboration with a team of orthopedic surgeons, physical therapists, and athletic trainers.

About Us

Lubbock Sports Rehab works closely with Lubbock Sports Medicine to provide seamless orthopedic care throughout the South Plains. Our rehabilitation team has over 80 years of combined experience in physical therapy and athletic training, offering patients direct access to coordinated care and exceptional outcomes.


Position Summary

The Physical Therapist Assistant will work under the direction and supervision of a licensed Physical Therapist to implement treatment plans, monitor patient progress, document care, and assist patients in achieving their rehabilitation goals.


Essential Duties & Responsibilities

  • Implement treatment plans established by the supervising Physical Therapist
  • Guide patients through therapeutic exercises and functional activities
  • Administer therapeutic modalities and interventions as directed
  • Monitor patient progress and communicate findings to supervising therapists
  • Accurately document treatments and patient responses in the EMR
  • Educate patients on home exercise programs and injury prevention
  • Maintain treatment areas, equipment, and supplies
  • Collaborate with physicians, physical therapists, athletic trainers, and support staff
  • Ensure compliance with all applicable regulatory, clinical, and documentation standards
  • Deliver exceptional patient service while maintaining a positive and professional attitude


Qualifications


Required

  • Graduate of an accredited Physical Therapist Assistant program
  • Current Texas Physical Therapist Assistant license in good standing
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills
  • Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced orthopedic and sports medicine environment


Preferred

  • Orthopedic or sports medicine rehabilitation experience
  • Experience working with post-operative patients
  • Familiarity with EMR systems
