    Position: Physical Therapist Assistant - Geriatric

    Salary Range: $26-30 per hour

    Schedule: Full-time, 40 hours per week, Monday-Friday with weekend rotation

    Facility: Skilled Nursing Facility (SNF) and Long-Term Care (LTC) Outpatient Clinic, specializing in Acquired Brain Injury (ABI) and Stroke rehabilitation.

    Job Description:

    We are seeking a highly motivated and skilled Physical Therapist Assistant to join our team at our specialized geriatric facility. As a Physical Therapist Assistant, you will work under the supervision of a licensed Physical Therapist to provide rehabilitative services to our geriatric patients.

    Responsibilities:

    - Assist in developing and implementing individualized treatment plans for patients based on their specific needs and goals

    - Perform therapeutic exercises and activities to improve mobility, strength, and coordination

    - Utilize modalities such as heat, ice, ultrasound, and electrical stimulation to aid in pain management and healing

    - Educate patients and their families on proper techniques and exercises to continue their rehabilitation at home

    - Monitor and document patient progress and adjust treatment plans as needed

    - Collaborate with the interdisciplinary team to ensure comprehensive and effective care for each patient

    - Participate in regular team meetings and contribute to the development of new treatment strategies and protocols

    - Maintain accurate and up-to-date patient records and documentation

    - Adhere to all legal and ethical standards and maintain patient confidentiality at all times

    Requirements:

    - Associate's degree in Physical Therapy Assistant program

    - Current state PTA license

    - Minimum of 1-2 years of experience working with geriatric patients, preferably in a SNF or LTC setting

    - Experience with ABI and Stroke rehabilitation is highly preferred

    - Strong communication and interpersonal skills

    - Ability to work independently and as part of a team

    - Excellent time management and organizational skills

    - Basic computer skills and proficiency in electronic medical record systems
