    Description

    Position: Physical Therapist Assistant - Geriatric

    Salary Range: $25.89 - $28.45 per hour

    Schedule: 32 hours per week, Monday-Friday with weekend rotation

    We are seeking a skilled and compassionate Physical Therapist Assistant to join our team and provide quality care to our geriatric patients. As a Physical Therapist Assistant, you will work under the supervision of a licensed Physical Therapist to help patients regain mobility, reduce pain, and improve overall physical function.

    Responsibilities:

    - Assist the Physical Therapist in evaluating and developing individualized treatment plans for geriatric patients

    - Implement treatment plans, including therapeutic exercises, manual therapy, and modalities, to improve patients' physical function and reduce pain

    - Monitor and document patients' progress and adjust treatment plans as needed

    - Educate patients and their families on proper techniques and exercises to continue at home

    - Collaborate with other healthcare professionals to ensure comprehensive and coordinated care for patients

    - Maintain accurate and timely documentation of all patient treatments and progress

    - Stay current with industry developments and advancements in physical therapy techniques and treatments

    Requirements:

    - Associate's degree from an accredited Physical Therapist Assistant program

    - Current state license or certification as a Physical Therapist Assistant

    - Minimum of 1-2 years of experience working with geriatric patients

    - Strong knowledge of physical therapy principles, techniques, and modalities

    - Excellent communication and interpersonal skills

    - Ability to work independently and as part of a team

    - Compassionate and patient-centered approach to care

    - Strong organizational and time-management skills

    - Ability to work flexible hours, including weekends, to meet the needs of our patients
