We are seeking a dedicated Physical Therapist Assistant to join our organization in Colorado Springs, CO. In this position, you will collaborate closely with licensed physical therapists to deliver exceptional rehabilitative care to our residents. Your efforts will help them reach their mobility and wellness objectives through tailored treatment plans and empathetic support.
Key Responsibilities
- Assist physical therapists in executing treatment plans and therapeutic exercises.
- Monitor patient progress, documenting findings and reporting to the supervising therapist.
- Prepare and maintain treatment areas and necessary equipment.
- Educate patients and their families on therapy techniques and exercises for home practice.
- Adhere to all safety and infection control protocols.
- Work collaboratively with interdisciplinary team members to ensure holistic patient care.
Qualifications and Requirements
- Associate degree from an accredited Physical Therapist Assistant program.
- Current state licensure or certification as a Physical Therapist Assistant.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to work both independently and as part of a healthcare team.
- Previous experience in a rehabilitation or long-term care environment is preferred.
- CPR certification is advantageous.
