Pay: $27.51 – $29.33 per hour
Schedule: Monday–Friday | 30 Hours Per Week | No Weekends
Employment Type: Full-Time

We are seeking a compassionate and motivated Physical Therapist Assistant (PTA) to join our healthcare team working with the geriatric population. In this role, you will work closely with licensed Physical Therapists to help patients improve mobility, strength, balance, and overall quality of life in a supportive care environment.

Responsibilities

  • Assist Physical Therapists with patient evaluations and treatment planning
  • Provide hands-on therapeutic treatments and exercises to geriatric patients
  • Monitor patient progress and accurately document treatments and outcomes
  • Educate patients and families on therapy exercises, mobility techniques, and safety practices
  • Collaborate with interdisciplinary healthcare teams to support patient care goals
  • Maintain accurate electronic medical records and treatment documentation
  • Help create a safe, positive, and comfortable therapy environment
  • Follow established therapy protocols and healthcare regulations
  • Stay current on physical therapy practices and geriatric care techniques

Qualifications

  • Associate degree from an accredited Physical Therapist Assistant program
  • Current state PTA license required
  • Minimum of 1 year of experience working with geriatric patients preferred
  • Knowledge of geriatric therapy techniques and rehabilitation practices
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team
  • Compassionate, patient-focused approach to care
  • Basic computer and electronic medical record (EMR) experience
