Job Description:
As a Physical Therapist Assistant, you'll contribute to our success by providing direct physical therapy services in accordance with accepted standards of practice and under supervision of a Physical Therapist. Responsibilities include following the Plan of Care, instructing patients and families on safe use of assistive devices, and promoting continuity and quality of care. This is a physically demanding environment requiring frequent lifting, pushing, and transferring of patients.
Core Responsibilities:
- Perform therapy services as certified by the patients physician.
- Follow Plan of Care established by Physical Therapist and report any changes.
- Incorporate patient care goals into the therapy program.
- Instruct patients and caregivers in home therapy programs and device use.
- Adhere to State Practice Act Guidelines.
- Work irregular hours including potential call hours.
Qualifications:
- Graduate of an accredited physical therapy assistant program approved by the American Therapy Association.
- Current, unrestricted PTA license for the state of work.
- Minimum 6 months experience preferred.
- Must have reliable transportation, valid driver's license, and current auto insurance.
- Ability to travel within branch coverage area up to 50%.
- Ability to lift, push, pull, and support up to 50 pounds.
