As a Physical Therapist Assistant, youll contribute to our success by promoting Elara Carings philosophy, mission statement and administrative policies to ensure quality of care. You will perform direct physical therapy services in accordance with accepted standards of practice and certified by the patients physician to ensure quality and continuity of care.
- Follow the Plan of Care as established by the supervising Physical Therapist and report any changes in status.
- Adhere to State Practice Act Guidelines.
- Provide care according to physicians orders, assessment data, and established standards and guidelines.
- Incorporate patient care goals into therapy care and instruct patients and families in safe use of prosthetic, orthotic, and assistive devices.
- Teach the patient and/or caregiver in the therapy home program.
- Operate in a physically demanding environment involving lifting and transferring patients and equipment.
Qualifications:
- Graduate of an accredited physical therapy assistant program approved by the American Therapy Association.
- Current, unrestricted PTA license valid for the state of work.
- 6+ months of experience preferred.
- Ability and willingness to travel within branch/office coverage area (up to 50%).
- Must have dependable vehicle, valid drivers license, and current auto insurance.
