Job Description:
As a Physical Therapist Assistant (PTA) at Elara Caring, you will help patients achieve their rehabilitation goals by providing therapy under the supervision of a licensed Physical Therapist. Responsibilities include promoting Elara Carings mission and policies to ensure quality care, performing direct physical therapy services as prescribed by the patients physician, adhering to the Plan of Care, and ensuring compliance with the State Practice Act Guidelines.
- Follows Plan of Care as established by the supervising Physical Therapist and reports changes in patient status.
- Verifies the Plan of Care prior to each visit and provides therapy according to physicians orders and established standards.
- Incorporates patient care goals into therapy sessions.
- Instructs patients and family members in safe use of assistive devices and home exercise programs.
- Participates in care coordination to maintain continuity and quality of care.
Requirements:
- Graduate of an accredited physical therapy assistant program approved by the American Therapy Association.
- Current, unrestricted PTA license valid for the state of work.
- Minimum of 6 months experience as a Physical Therapist Assistant preferred.
- Must have dependable vehicle, valid drivers license, and current auto insurance.
- Willingness to travel within the assigned branch or office service area (up to 50%).
- Ability to lift and support up to 50 pounds and manage physically demanding environments.
