Job Position: Physical Therapist Assistant-PTA

Pay Rate: $35.00/hr

A center in Lansing, MI is seeking a dedicated, full-time (35 hours/week), in-person Physical Therapist Assistant (PTA) to support students' growth and success. Working under the supervision of a licensed Physical Therapist, you'll help students improve mobility, strength, coordination, balance, and functional skills that support their participation in the educational environment. Full-time schedule of 35 hours per week
In-person position
Work alongside an established team, including another PTA on site
Collaborative, student-centered educational environment
Opportunity to help students increase independence and access their educational programs
Provide physical therapy interventions to students under the direction and supervision of a licensed Physical Therapist
Implement individualized treatment plans designed to support educationally relevant motor and functional goals
Assist students in improving mobility, balance, strength, endurance, coordination, and gross motor skills
Support the use of adaptive equipment, positioning devices, and mobility aids as directed by the Physical Therapist
Collaborate with teachers, therapists, school staff, and families to help students participate successfully in school activities
Maintain accurate service documentation, treatment notes, and required records
Monitor student progress and communicate observations to the supervising Physical Therapist
Assist with implementing accommodations and strategies that promote student safety, independence, and access to the learning environment
Active Michigan Physical Therapist Assistant (PTA) license
Associate degree from an accredited Physical Therapist Assistant program
Experience working with pediatric or school-aged populations preferred
Ability to follow treatment plans developed by a licensed Physical Therapist
Strong communication, teamwork, and organizational skills
