Job Position: Physical Therapist Assistant-PTA

Pay Rate: $35.00/hr

A center in Lansing, MI is seeking a dedicated, full-time (35 hours/week), in-person Physical Therapist Assistant (PTA) to support students' growth and success. Working under the supervision of a licensed Physical Therapist, you'll help students improve mobility, strength, coordination, balance, and functional skills that support their participation in the educational environment. What you'll do:

  • Provide physical therapy interventions to students under the direction and supervision of a licensed Physical Therapist

  • Implement individualized treatment plans designed to support educationally relevant motor and functional goals

  • Assist students in improving mobility, balance, strength, endurance, coordination, and gross motor skills

  • Support the use of adaptive equipment, positioning devices, and mobility aids as directed by the Physical Therapist

  • Collaborate with teachers, therapists, school staff, and families to help students participate successfully in school activities

  • Maintain accurate service documentation, treatment notes, and required records

  • Monitor student progress and communicate observations to the supervising Physical Therapist

  • Assist with implementing accommodations and strategies that promote student safety, independence, and access to the learning environment

What you'll need:

  • Active Michigan Physical Therapist Assistant (PTA) license

  • Associate degree from an accredited Physical Therapist Assistant program

  • Experience working with pediatric or school-aged populations preferred

  • Ability to follow treatment plans developed by a licensed Physical Therapist

  • Strong communication, teamwork, and organizational skills

  • Commitment to creating a positive and inclusive environment for students
