Job Summary:
We are seeking an experienced Physical Therapist Assistant (PTA) for a 13-week contract assignment in Llano, TX. This is a full-time, day-shift position within a Long-Term Care (LTC) setting, offering a guaranteed 40-hour work week with no weekend or on-call requirements.
Duties & Responsibilities:
- Provide high-quality therapeutic treatments under the direction and supervision of a Physical Therapist.
- Implement therapeutic exercise programs tailored to individual patient rehabilitation goals.
- Conduct gait and balance training to improve patient safety and mobility.
- Utilize therapeutic interventions and massage techniques to support the recovery process.
- Maintain accurate documentation of patient progress and functional outcomes.
- Collaborate closely with the supervising PT to adjust treatment plans as needed.
- Educate patients and families on mobility, strength, and safety techniques.
Qualifications:
- Experience: Minimum of 2 years of current experience as a Physical Therapist Assistant (Required).
- Licensure: Active Texas PTA License or an active PT Compact License (Required).
- Setting: Previous experience in a Long-Term Care or Skilled Nursing Facility (Preferred).
- Shift: 8-Hour Day Shifts | Monday – Friday
