Physical Therapist Assistant

Position Title: Physical Therapist Assistant - Geriatric

As a Physical Therapist Assistant, you will work under the supervision of a licensed Physical Therapist to help patients improve their movement, manage pain, and prevent disability. Key Responsibilities:

- Work closely with the Physical Therapist to develop and implement individualized treatment plans for patients.

- Assist patients with exercises and activities to improve mobility, strength, and balance.

- Monitor patients' progress and adjust treatment plans as needed.

- Educate patients and their families on exercises and techniques to continue their rehabilitation at home.

- Maintain accurate and up-to-date patient records.

- Communicate effectively with other healthcare professionals involved in the patient's care.

- Provide emotional support and encouragement to patients throughout their rehabilitation process.

Qualifications:

- Associate's degree from an accredited Physical Therapist Assistant program.

- Current state license or certification as a Physical Therapist Assistant.

- Minimum of 1 year of experience working with geriatric patients.

- Strong communication and interpersonal skills.

- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.

- Compassionate and patient-centered approach to care.

- Ability to multitask and prioritize tasks effectively.
