Physical Therapist Assistant, PTA – ProgressiveHealth of Indiana, LLC – Washington, IN
We are looking for an energetic and results driven Physical Therapist Assistant to provide therapeutic and holistic care on our clinical team. What will you be doing in this role?
- Working towards the achievement of patient care time targets and productivity standards
- Providing medically prescribed physical therapy treatment for patients suffering from injuries, muscle, nerve, joint, and/or bone diseases
- Operating according to underlying goals of the inpatient acute environment, optimizing the length of stay while preparing the patient for transition to a longer-term setting in an efficient and safe manner
- Collaborating with other therapists/physicians within care pathways as necessary
- Restoring patient function while relieving pain with ambitions of avoiding disability
- Integrating Rehab Techs to support the patients plan of care
- Completing appropriate documentation according to Company/department policies and procedures along with adhering to federal and state regulations
Our ideal candidate would:
- Have an Associate’s Degree as a Physical Therapist Assistant
- Have the required state licensure, certification, and registration that is in good standing with the state or the ability to obtain the required state licensure
- Provide a CPR/AED/BLS (basic life support) certification or have the ability to obtain it prior to start of employment; maintain and provide proof of current certification(s)
- Have the ability to stand, walk, and sit throughout the entire assigned shift
- Have a high degree of professionalism in both written and verbal communication
- Have strong computer skills, including proficiency with databases and with Microsoft Office applications, including Outlook, Word, PowerPoint, and Excel
- Have the ability to work both independently and in a team environment, without constant supervision
- Be able to maintain confidentiality
