Hourly Pay: $46/hr. - $62/hr.
Job description:
Birch Agency is seeking a skilled and compassionate Physical Therapist to join our team in a hospital setting in Bala Cynwyd, PA. The Physical Therapist will provide evaluation and treatment services to patients with a variety of medical, orthopedic, neurological, and rehabilitative needs.

The Physical Therapist develops and implements individualized treatment plans to improve patients mobility, strength, balance, function, and overall quality of life. This role requires collaboration with physicians, nurses, occupational therapists, speech-language pathologists, case managers, and other members of the healthcare team.
Responsibilities:

• 
  Evaluate patients physical abilities, functional limitations, and rehabilitation needs.
  
• 
  Develop individualized treatment plans based on clinical findings and patient goals.
  
• 
  Provide therapeutic exercises, mobility training, gait training, balance activities, and other appropriate interventions.
  
• 
  Assist patients with transfers, ambulation, strengthening, and activities of daily living.
  
• 
  Educate patients and families on treatment plans, home exercise programs, safety, and injury prevention.
  
• 
  Monitor patient progress and modify treatment plans as appropriate.
  
• 
  Collaborate with the interdisciplinary healthcare team to support coordinated patient care.
  
• 
  Complete timely and accurate clinical documentation.
  
• 
  Participate in discharge planning and recommend appropriate follow-up services or equipment.
  
• 
  Follow hospital policies, safety standards, and infection-control procedures.
  

Qualifications

• 
  Doctor of Physical Therapy (DPT) or equivalent degree from an accredited program.
  
• 
  Current Physical Therapist license in the applicable state.
  
• 
  CPR/BLS certification required.
  
• 
  Strong clinical reasoning, communication, and organizational skills.
  
• 
  Ability to work effectively with patients, families, and multidisciplinary healthcare teams.
  
• 
  Knowledge of evidence-based physical therapy practices.
  
• 
  Commitment to providing compassionate, patient-centered care.

Work Environment:
This position is based in a hospital setting and may involve working with patients across multiple departments, including medical-surgical units, intensive care, emergency services, and outpatient or inpatient rehabilitation areas. The Physical Therapist must be able to safely assist patients with mobility and transfers and respond effectively in a fast-paced clinical environment.
