Pay Range: $58 - $62/hr
AM - 8hr
40hr Days, 8hr shifts - 7:30am start time. Monday - Friday, with 1 Saturday shift per month.
POSITION SUMMARY:
Reporting to the Rehabilitation Therapies Supervisor/Manager, the Staff Physical Therapist conducts comprehensive assessments of in and outpatients with physical and functional deficits, planning and implementing individual/group physical therapy treatments to promote mobility, reduce pain, restore function, prevent permanent disability and restore independence, using various treatment techniques. Collaborates with other disciplines to arrange for appropriate follow-up care and facilitates a successful return to home and work environments. Provides student training according to departmental guidelines and participates in continuous education.
EDUCATION:
- Requires a Bachelors / Masters or equivalent in Physical Therapy from an accredited institution prior to start date.
CERTIFICATES, LICENSES, REGISTRATIONS REQUIRED:
- Requires a current Commonwealth of Massachusetts license prior to start date.
- CPR certification (AHA BLS healthcare provider).
- APTA and MCAPTA membership preferred
EXPERIENCE:
- 2+ years as a PT with at least 1 year in the acute care hospital environment.
- ICU experience strongly preferred.
KNOWLEDGE AND SKILLS:
- Requires interpersonal skills necessary to effectively interact with patients, families and various members of the health care team.
- Requires analytical abilities sufficient to evaluate patients condition, capabilities and progress to develop appropriate treatment programs.A
