$41.12 - $61.68 an hour - Full-Time Days, 40 hours per week

+$2.50/hr for weekend shifts.



Boulder Community Health seeks a Physical Therapist for CU Sports Medicine to provide quality care through assessment, treatment, and education, while maintaining 75% productivity, managing staff, adhering to APTA ethics and accreditation standards, and promoting teamwork and communication across patients, families, and healthcare teams.

Qualifications

•Current Colorado state license for Physical Therapy.

•BLS Certification by the end of the Conditional Period

•3-5 years orthopedic and/or sports medicine physical therapy experience recommended.

•Orthopedic clinical specialist (OCS) or Sports clinical specialist (SCS) preferred.

•For new graduate physical therapists, 1-2 orthopedic/sports medicine clinical rotations and evaluation of credentials by interview team required.



Responsibilities

•Evaluates patients with appropriate tests and measures to determine goals, problems, and course of treatment and necessary therapuetic procedures/modalities.

•Selects and establishes physical therapy diagnosis.

•Formulates and maintains an individualized patient plan of care based on long and short-term goals.

•Implementation skills: Provides treatment using appropriate tools and demonstrates a complete knowledge of patient management.

•Assesses patients response to treatment and revises plan of care as indicated.

•Promotes effective communication and teamwork with team members, the hospital and other contacts.

•Completes documentation of evaluations, plans, treatment procedures, assessment and patient progress. Completes all other paperwork as assigned in a timely manner.

•Initiates and is responsible for problem solving and decision making with relation to patient care.

•Functions as an advocate for the patient within the rehabilitation system.

•Evaluates own performance against established criteria and sets goal for improvement.

•Participates in peer review according to established policy.

•Utilizes health-related research as a basis for the practice of physical therapy.
