Position Overview

A Woodstock, VA outpatient physical therapy office is hiring a Director of Physical Therapy for a full-time leadership position. The role offers $90,000-$120,000 per year and follows a steady Monday-Friday, 9:00 AM-5:00 PM schedule.

Patients come to physical therapy because they want practical progress. They may be recovering from surgery, managing pain, rebuilding strength, or trying to return to work, sports, or daily routines.

As the Director of Physical Therapy, you will help guide that process from the first evaluation through discharge. You will also support the clinical team, help maintain care standards, and keep the clinic running with clear communication and structure.

What You’ll Be Doing

• Direct outpatient physical therapy services within the clinic
• Evaluate patients and identify functional goals
• Create treatment plans based on patient needs, diagnosis, and progress
• Provide therapy for orthopedic, post-operative, balance, pain, and mobility concerns
• Supervise clinical staff and support daily patient care decisions
• Review progress notes, care plans, and discharge documentation

Requirements

• Graduate of an accredited Physical Therapy program
• Active Virginia Physical Therapist license or eligibility to obtain one
• Outpatient physical therapy experience required
• Previous leadership, supervisory, or clinic management experience preferred
• Strong clinical reasoning and documentation skills
• Ability to communicate clearly with patients, staff, and providers
