Position Overview
A full-time Physical Therapist opportunity is available within an acute rehabilitation setting. This role focuses on delivering individualized therapy plans to help patients regain mobility, reduce pain, and improve overall function following injury or illness.
Key Responsibilities- Perform comprehensive patient evaluations and develop individualized treatment plans
- Implement therapeutic interventions including exercise programs, manual therapy, and assistive devices
- Establish functional goals and adjust care plans based on patient progress
- Educate patients and families on recovery, injury prevention, and safe mobility practices
- Supervise physical therapy assistants, students, and support staff
- Maintain accurate and timely clinical documentation
- Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to ensure optimal patient outcomes
Schedule- Day shift
- 8:00 AM - 4:30 PM
- Acute Rehabilitation Unit setting
Required Qualifications- Degree from an accredited Physical Therapy program
- Active Physical Therapist license in Maine
- Basic Life Support (BLS) certification through the American Heart Association
- Strong communication skills in English
Preferred Qualifications- Experience in acute care or rehabilitation settings
- Multilingual abilities are a plus
